About Henry Woodson
Photography is a great thing. It brings together nerds and artists. Sometimes I am one; sometimes I am the other. My photography interests have changed considerably over the years. I have shot events (parties, weddings, etc.), concerts and performances, portraits (glamour, headshots, babies), and a whole mess of other stuff. I love the challenge of taking a subject or a situation and making it more interesting on (digital) film. If you have an idea, I'd love to collaborate with you!
I have been working with images for well over the last 10 years. As opposed to most people that start with photography then processing, I some how ended up the other way around. I've been working in Photoshop since version 2.0. Since then, photography has become a way for me to explore and push what I can do in Photoshop. My preference has been to tweak and manipulate the photo while keeping the photo realistic.
I write a blog about photography and processing. The topics range widely from specific shoots or photos I've done to various details of post-processing. Most of my inspiration for articles come from questions my fellow photographers ask me. So if you have questions, feel free to ask! It might just take me a little while to write up an article in response.
